About Wendy


I have been dedicated to health and fitness since I was a young girl learning the art of ballet.  I continued my dance training through college, but injuries kept me from pursuing my dreams of a career in dance. After college, while pursuing other careers, I found many ways to continue my focus on health and fitness, obtaining a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, competing in 10K races, and obtaining certification to teach Johnny G Spinning.   

As my stress levels rose with career advancement, I found yoga and fell head over heels in love! After practicing yoga for over 20 years, and discovering the many benefits my personal practice provided me, I became passionate about sharing yoga with others.

A desire to stay strong as I age, and combat the natural decline in bone density, muscle strength and endurance that we all experience with age, I have continued my fitness journey by adding strength training and aerobic endurance training to my personal regimen. In addition to the benefits of yoga, I love helping others experience the benefits of strength training and endurance training to support movements of daily living and to improve sports performance (such as their golf game).

My certifications include 200-hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training (Twisted Hot Yoga), Gentle Yoga Training (Lilac Yoga), Group Fitness Instructor (AFAA), Certified Personal Trainer (NASM), Certified Yoga Breath Coach (Yogabody Teachers College), Certified Indoor Schwinn Cycling Instructor (Schwinn), Silver Sneakers Foundation, BOOM Move, and BOOM Muscle (Tivity Health).
